The charity provides invaluable care and support for children with disabilities through a specialist school, respite home, youth club, plus play sessions and activities at weekends and school holidays. The charity seeks to work with people throughout their lives through providing an adults day centre and specially adapted supported living accommodation. Combined this work supports over 1,500 families in Dorset. To support this work the charity must raise over £1millon in 2018.
Terry Head, retail and marketing director at Stewarts said that many of their key events, including their Halloween evenings and Christmas festivities, will be dedicated to fundraising for the charity this year.
“We hope that Diverse Abilities will benefit from the efforts of our staff and the amazing generosity shown by our brilliant customers. The Diverse Abilities team will be encouraged to help inform our visitors of the important services they offer to people with special needs.”
Nicole Warrilow, community fundraiser at Diverse Abilities said that they are delighted to have the opportunity to support the fun events that are hosted by Stewarts Garden Centres.
