Why Kiln Dried Softwood Logs?

Our kiln dried softwood logs are processed using timber from managed woodland, dried to below 20% and ready to burn. Softwood Kiln dried logs are the ultimate fire-starter, great for building a fire and getting it going quickly and easily, particularly on a wood-burning stove. The modern ones will burn these efficiently too. We recommend getting the fire burning with these, then adding some of our hardwood kiln dried logs to keep the fire going and for even higher heat and an extended burn, buy some of our signature Olive Firewood.

 

The 30L and 180L size variations are packaged in our handy 30L net bags. When ordering in larger volumes such as the 300L and above, the logs will be delivered and left packaged in our easily movable Barrow Bags. The 280L volume will usually arrive packaged in one barrow bag, whilst the 0.9m3 load will be in 3 barrow bags and the 1.5m3 load will be supplied as 5 barrow bags. Barrow bags are a convenient and manageable way to move your logs around your property with a sack truck or using a wheelbarrow. They fit through doorways, garden gates and down the side of alleyways allowing them to be positioned adjacent to your log storing area.

Local Delivery
Stewarts offer free delivery on all orders over £50 within our local area. For orders under £50 we charge £7.95. Below is a map showing our local area, if you are outside this then unfortunately, except for selected nationally deliverable products, we are unable to deliver to you but you are very welcome to use our click and collect service.


Once your order has been placed we will be in contact within three days to arrange a time and date that will be convenient for you to receive the delivery.

National Delivery (selected products)

For products featuring the national shipping symbol above, delivery to mainland UK addresses is £7.95 for orders totalling less than £50 and free of charge above this.

Non-mainland UK addresses will incur a charge of £15 under a basket total of £150 but delivery is free of charge above this amount.

Once your click and collect order is complete we will send you an email to confirm that the items are ready for collection. We do ask that items are collected within 7 days or a refund will be issued and the products returned to sale.

Gift Card Delivery
Stewarts gift cards can be delivered anywhere in the UK free of charge. Orders are posted at the end of the working day by Royal Mail First Class. Royal Mail have a next-day delivery aim for First Class letters and parcels, but delivery times are not guaranteed especially in busy periods.
