Thrifty Thursday

Every Other Thursday from Thursday 8th April

Over the next few weeks we are going to struggle to find enough stock to create a worthwhile Thrifty Thursday. Originally, plants for Thrifty came from our Nursery where the final plants in a batch might not have been good enough to sell within our own Garden Centres or the other Centres we supply. The plants would still grow but just needed some tlc. A few years ago we started adding plants from our Centres that were perhaps past their best and that has made Thursdays a busy occasion; there was normally more than enough plants looking for a happy home. Right now demand for plants is outstripping supply, our new glasshouse will take two years to reach full capacity and the Garden Centres are selling out of most lines. The result is that there are not that many plants available to fill many benches. We don’t want to waste your time by causing unnecessary journeys only for you to be disappointed. So for the foreseeable future Thrifty will only be happening every two weeks.
