Home & Lifestyle Sales Assistant – Stewarts Christchurch

Our Home & Lifestyle Department has been getting busier and busier as we endeavour to offer a wider and more interesting selection of items for the individual and their home than ever before. Items will include plants, gifts, cards, books, food, home ware, jewellery and much much more.

We are now looking for an exceptional Sales Assistant with a special interest in Indoor Plants to join this ever changing department. You will be passionate about the products we sell and have excellent customer service skills.

Working well with minimal supervision, you will be proactive with a keen eye for detail in order to maintain stock and visual merchandising standards, so experience in a similar retail environment will be highly favourable. Horticultural knowledge would be a definite plus.

This vacancy includes working 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays (average of 31 hours per week) as follows:

Week 2 – Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

Coffee Shop Assistants – Stewarts Christchurch

We are on the look out for warm outgoing people to join our Coffee Shop team in Edwards Coffee Shop. We aim to provide an outstanding experience for our visitors and need people who can contribute to making their visit exceptional. We work hard to make working here pleasurable, but our Coffee Shop is a fast paced and busy environment so you will be kept busy most of the time.

Duties will include dealing with customers face to face throughout the day either serving food, cakes, preparing hot drinks as well as operation of tills and clearing tables.

Applicants should possess good communication, team working and customer service skills as well as having a good level of health and safety/hygiene knowledge. Previous catering experience in a similar environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.

We have vacancies available for an average of 24 to 30 hours per week which will include 2 or 3 days in the week and alternate weekends.

Furniture & Christmas Supervisor – Stewarts Christchurch

An opportunity has arisen to join our Furniture & Christmas Department at Christchurch as Supervisor, working with Outdoor Furniture, Barbecues and accessories during the spring/summer season and with Christmas during the autumn/winter season.

We are looking for an exceptional person to fill this position who will be passionate about the products we sell but also about customer satisfaction.

Working well with minimal managerial supervision, you will be proactive with a keen eye for detail in order to maintain stock and visual merchandising standards, so experience in a similar retail environment will be highly favourable.

This vacancy will involve working an average of 39 hours per week as follows:

Furniture & Christmas Manager – Stewarts Broomhill (Wimborne)

We are seeking to recruit a Furniture/Christmas Department Manager for Stewarts Broomhill.

You will be responsible for managing the smooth running of these departments during their seasonality, including help choose the range for each season, merchandising, identify opportunities to increase sales, ensure display presentation, pricing and signage are inspirational and to Stewarts’ high standards, organise and manage stocktake, stock turnover, markdowns and wastage and deal with the hiring, managing and deploying of staff within these departments.

Applicants should possess excellent communication and people skills and enjoy working as part of a team, delivering a high level of customer service. Previous experience in a manager or supervisor role is essential as well as an interest in progressing within the business.

The job involves working the following days/hours:

Monday to Friday and alternate weekends with a day off during the week.
8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays with 1 hour unpaid break and 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays with 30 minutes unpaid break – Average of 39 ½ hours per week.

Home & Lifestyle Supervisor (Maternity Cover) – Stewarts Broomhill (Wimborne)

An opportunity has arisen to join our Home & Lifestyle Department working as a Supervisor on a fixed-term for 9 to 12 months contract with gifts, cards, books, food, homeware, jewellery, plants and much much more.

We are looking for an exceptional person to fill this position from mid May/beginning of June 2019.
You will be passionate about the products we sell but also about customer satisfaction.

Working well with minimal managerial supervision, you will be proactive with a keen eye for detail in order to maintain stock and visual merchandising standards, so experience in a similar retail environment is a must have.

In return for your hard work and dedication you will receive a competitive rate of pay, generous employee discount after probationary period, contributive pension scheme, free uniform, free parking and a pleasant working environment.

This vacancy will involve working an average of 30 hours per week (6 hours per day) to include weekdays and alternate weekends with a day off during the week.
