Kitchen Assistant – Stewarts Christchurch

We are very proud of the food we offer here at Stewarts. With our food preparation facilities we are able to prepare fresh, locally sourced produce to make good quality food for our customers. Not surprisingly we are becoming increasingly busy.

We are on the lookout for a Kitchen and Food Preparation Assistant to join our team working alongside our Chefs in our busy Coffee Shop at Christchurch.

No previous experience is required as training will be provided, however a passion for food is a must! Initially based on salad and sandwich preparation, this role can evolve and lead to additional training in order to assist the chefs on the preparation and service of lunch meals also.

We have flexible shift patterns available to include weekdays and weekends working between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on a flexible rota basis.

Christmas/Outdoor Living Sales Assistant – Stewarts Christchurch

We are seeking to recruit a permanent sales assistant to join our busy Christmas and Outdoor Living Departments at Stewarts Christchurch from September.

Duties will include serving the public with the highest standard of customer service, taking customer orders, processing payments, replenishing stock, merchandising, general housekeeping of department and additional work in other parts of the store as and when required. Due to the seasonality of the business candidates will be working in the Christmas Department between September and December and then within the Outdoor Living Department between January and August.

Applicants should possess good communication and team working skills. Previous retail experience would be an advantage but is not essential as training can be provided.

The vacancy involves working Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Senior Cook – Stewarts Abbey Garden Centre (Titchfield)

An 8th Generation business that knows about plants and everything about gardening. It’s our passion! But we also love good homemade food, locally sourced or home reared, fresh and seasonal.

Catering is a very important part of our business and we are looking for foodies to join our team at our Coffee Shop at Stewarts Abbey Garden Centre. We pride ourselves on the high quality food and service we offer together with a fun and happy atmosphere.

We are on the look out for an extra team member. Someone who loves their food and would like to help us produce outstanding quality for our customers. As a Senior Cook you would develop the menu, produce lovely meals and run the kitchen. Experience in a similar business and relevant catering, health & hygiene training is required.

The vacancy involves working Mondays to Fridays and alternate weekends with a fixed day off during the week working from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional late night until 8 p.m.
