Coffee Shop Assistant - Country Garden Centre (Wimborne)

We are always on the look out for warm outgoing people to join the team in our Coffee Shop. We aim to provide an outstanding experience for our visitors and need people who can contribute to making their visit exceptional. We work hard to make working here pleasurable although we cannot deny that you are kept busy. Duties will include front of house service, operation of till, clearing tables, assisting with food preparation and various kitchen tasks.

Applicants should possess good communication, team working and customer service skills as well as having
a good level of health and safety/hygiene knowledge. Previous catering experience in a similar environment would be an advantage but is not essential as full training can be provided.

The job involves working the following days/hours: Monday to Friday and alternate weekends with a fixed day off during the week (average 39 hours per week)

Cook - Country Garden Centre (Wimborne)

We pride ourselves on the high quality food and service we offer together with a fun and happy atmosphere. With our improved preparation facilities we are able to prepare fresh, locally sourced produce to make good food for our visitors. Not surprisingly we are becoming increasingly busy.

We are on the look out for someone who loves their food and would like to help us produce outstanding quality for our customers. Experience in a similar business and relevant catering and heath & hygiene training would be a distinct advantage.

The job involves working Monday to Friday and alternate weekends with a fixed day off in the week - Average 39 hours per week with no split shifts. Salary will depend on experience.

Father Christmas - Stewarts Country Garden Centre (Wimborne)

You might be thinking it's too early to think about Christmas, but here at Stewarts we always plan well ahead to make each season the best ever for our customers, and when the season to be jolly comes....well, we like to be jolly ready for it!

We are searching for a jolly nice Father Christmas to come and help us distribute presents to all the children visiting our new and improved grotto, which will be much bigger and exciting. Needless to say it takes a very special person who enjoys entertaining children, but who also has a good deal of patience! If you have these qualities, then you might be who we are looking for.

Father Christmas will be on duty as per days and times below:

From 9th to 24th December: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with 1 hour break for lunch and 2 extra hours on our late night opening evenings on Thursdays (6:00 to 8:00 p.m.)

Father Christmas will be on duty from Saturday 21st November to 22nd December as per days and times

From 21st November to 6th December: Saturdays and Sundays only, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

From 7th December to 22nd December: Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with 1 hour break for lunch and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Santa's Helper - Stewarts Country Garden Centre (Wimborne)

We are searching for a Santa's Helper to assist with the smooth running of Santa's grotto at our Garden Centre in Holt, Wimborne. Duties will include administering the tickets and coordinating the queue to ensure a pleasant visit for children and parents alike. Needless to say it takes a very special person who enjoys entertaining children, but who also has a good deal of patience! If you have these qualities, then you might be who we are looking for.

Santa's assistant will be working with Santa in his new and improved grotto, which will be much bigger and exciting as per days and times below:

From 21st November to 24th December: Saturdays, Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays and 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays with 1 hour break for lunch each day (the option of a job share will be considered for this vacancy)

Seasonal Christmas Sales Assistant - Stewarts Gardenlands (Christchurch)

We are searching for a sales assistant to work on a seasonal contract basis at our Christmas Department in Christchurch from beginning of August 2009 to end of January 2010. The ideal candidate would have a high level of customer service and knowledge of merchandising in order to display Christmas items and gifts. Retail experience in a similar environment would be a distinct advantage, but training can be provided to the right candidate. For the first few weeks, this person would be working behind the curtains (literally!!) and once our Christmas Department is open to the public, would be dealing face to face with customers and replenishing the displays.

The days/hours of work for this role will be as follows: From 3rd August to end of September - Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with 1 hour break and from 1st October to 31st January - 3 days a week (to be mutually agreed) and alternate weekends, working 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays and 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays with 1 hour break.
