16/01/2008 Re-modelling at the Country Garden Centre

The Coffee shop at our Broomhill Garden Centre near Wimborne is going to suffer some minor disruption during Jan and Feb while the seating area is being enlarged. This shouldn't affect your enjoyment this popular venue - we'd just thought you'd like to know what's going on.

As well as more seating we will create space to improve the layout of the servery and that should speed things up for all concerned.

08/11/2007 Late Night Specials

On the 6th, 13th and 20th December there will be Story Telling by Graham Rogers at the Country Garden Centre and interactive music and drama by The Tree House at GardenLands. Also on these December evenings there will be floral and gift wrapping demos.  Phone the centres for more details.

01/05/2007 BBQ benefits

You can help the environment with a double whammy by using locally produced charcoal on your Barbeque. Avoid the damage to precious forests and transportation miles by buying charcoal produced as a by-product from the careful management of Dorset woodland. Our amazing bluebell woods and hedgerows depend on a regular cycle of coppicing to keep them healthy. As a result timber is harvested and converted into top grade lump-wood charcoal ideal for BBQs and Chimneas. The trees rapidly grow back again, locking up carbon dioxide and so the process can be viewed as carbon neutral, unlike the lower grade imported charcoal.
